Barbara Wells has worked with national speakers to host conferences, retreats and workshops. A gifted administrator, author, conference speaker and honored-to-be wife of J. David Wells who has built churches all across Kentucky. Together, they have been used to establish ministries as well as "building" the people of God - thus - SteeplePeople was born. The proud parents of Keith Wells, and his wife Mandi - both health care professionals.Barbara served as the Faculty Chair for the Kentucky Christian Writers Association for two years (2007-08) and was emcee for the KCWC Conference in 2009.
Billy Wilson currently serves as Executive Director of the International Center for Spiritual Renewal. The Center's mission is to help restore spiritual integrity, promote scriptural unity, and encourage social responsibility in the body of Christ. Currently, the Center is facilitating the Awakening America Alliance with Wilson serving as chairman of the Alliance Executive Cabinet. The Awakening America Alliance is uniting Evangelical, Pentecostal and Charismatic movements for an increased awareness of the deep spiritual need in today's America and to pursue a new Christ awakening in our nation.
Wilson is also the executive producer of Voice of Salvation Ministries, and host of World Impact, a weekly television broadcast now seen in all 50 states and more than 170 nations with a potential viewing audience of 500 million each week. His radio ministry can be heard in numerous nations on World Impact Radio and 5 Minutes to Victory, contemporary radio broadcasts.
Reverend Wilson was recently elected to the Oral Roberts University Board of Trustees where he serves as vice-chair. In this role, he has been assigned as chair of the Commission on Holy Spirit Empowerment in the 21st Century. The Commission is uniting leaders, scholars and youth to focus on the future of the Charismatic/Pentecostal movement in a process that will culminate in a Congress on Holy Spirit Empowerment scheduled for April 2010.
Wilson also serves on numerous other Boards and committees including the Board of Trustees for the National Interfaith Cable Coalition, Inc., the governing body providing oversight to Faith and Values Media - the nation's largest coalition of Christian and Jewish faith groups dedicated to media production, distribution, and promotion.
Wilson served as the Executive Officer for the Azusa Street Centennial. The Centennial was held in Los Angeles, California, April 25-29, 2006, with more than 50,000 people gathering from 106 nations of the world to celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the Azusa Street Revival. Recently, Wilson also served as International Minister of Outreach for both the Church of God and Church of God of Prophecy, forging a historical cooperative effort between these two Pentecostal movements.
During more than 30 years of ministry, Reverend Wilson has served as church administrator, international youth director, senior pastor and international evangelist personally ministering in over 70 nations. He has authored numerous articles, sermon series, video projects and books. His releases include Fasting Forward: Advancing Your Spiritual Life Through Fasting and Foundations of Faith.
A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Reverend Wilson graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education in 1979. He graduated from the Church of God of Prophecy Bible Training Institute at Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1983. He received his Master of Arts degree with a concentration in Evangelism and World Missions at the Church of God Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1997. He is an ordained bishop with ministry credentials presently recognized in both the Church of God of Prophecy and the Church of God.
He and his wife, Lisa, currently reside in Cleveland, Tennessee. They have one daughter, Sara, who presently serves as a missionary in Paraguay with her husband Shaun and daughter Abigail. The Wilsons' son, Ashley, is currently planting a church in Lexington, Kentucky, along with his wife Jamie and their children Anna, Aaron and Amelia.
